This small mining town sits near the Ettinspire Mine. Most of the residents are either miners or craftsmen. The population generally sits around 500, though many miners leave in the winter as they find the daily treks to and from the mine too harsh to deal with.
The town sits along a cliff with two roads leading up to it, one northwest to Bren’s Cliffs and one to the east towards Channel Point. From the towers in the town, you can see all the way to the ocean and can easily see the mainland to the east.
The source of the name Ettinspire is a matter of some debate. Some say that the mountain was home to a tribe of Ettins that were killed off by early settlers. Others insist that the name refers to the peak of this mountain, combined with the peak of the mountain on the mainland resemble the two heads of an Ettin.
